The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Thursday began cracking down on "dangerous and illegal" over-the-counter chemicals that are touted as treatment for autism and other conditions. The products, called chelators, can cause kidney damage, dehydration and even death and have not been approved by the FDA.
